When planning your visit to Piran, you are invited to all the experiences offered by the Mediadom Pyrhani. It is a newly opened cultural centre and a multimedia museum in which the latest technology introduces the history and cultural development of the town.

SCHOOLS

ICT technology and media make even the distant history interesting. Thorough texts and well designed film-animations enable the visitors to discover the rich history of our charming town, Piran, in a picturesque and relaxed manner. Centuries, in which salt pans and with them the densely populated fishing town, surrounded by a mighty wall, were created, are presented in two animated films with short documentary footages and an interactive 3D film. Visitors get to know the most magnificent characteristics of the town, archaeological discoveries, a pillory and are introduced to the most interesting contents of cultural institutions, traditional and cultural events.

When you visit Mediadom Pyrhani you can choose two options: shorter tour ( 20 min ) , or a longer tour ( lasting up to 40 min ) , we also offer you worksheets and group assignments .

All content Mediadom Pyrhani are available in five languages: Slovenian, Italian, English, German, Russian. Content and duration of the visit can be extended, shorter or suitable to your needs and desires.

ORGANISED GROUPS – AGENCIES

We invite you to send us your demand. Guided visits for groups over 20 persons is also possible outside of opening hours, but with prior announcement. Tour leaders and turist guides have free entrance.
